Who had guitars at CH and what music inspired you

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Who discovered that particular perk of the job, and where?

I recall that school monitors were allowed to grow moustaches, but I can only remember one who did so.

Why anyone would actually want to have one at that age is beyond me, though.

I don't know - but rumour abounded that the SG could drive a flock of sheep over London Bridge and he could get married (whilst at school!) and then move into whites...

I think I'm right in saying that any Freeman of the City of London can do this, though like RR and his moustache reference, I can't imagine why anyone would want to !

Freemen of the City of London used to be able to do this until a few years ago when someone actually tried. Now they can't.

Yeah, I think it was a massive delay and there were sheep in the bus lane and some people got a little annoyed, they probably wrote to their MPs, or Ken Livingstone or someone, and now no one is allowed to drive sheep over the bridge.

You used to be (still are???) able to do a number of other things as a freeman.

1. Graze your sheep on Tower Hill
2. Carry your sword, unsheathed, anywhere in the square mile
3. Urinate anywhere in the square mile, so long as you announced it first

I've often been tempted to try and do all at the same time, whilst driving my sheep over London bridge.

I think you can ask to be beheaded rather than hanged if you are found guilty of a capital crime as well.

Are all CH heads Freemen (or women)? I have a feeling DR was, the thought of her as a pirate always amused me.
