Is the Belt Tightening ?

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

tell me what they are like now please - I want to believe that CH is no longer working on Victorian Nightingale wards....

(That;s why at Hertford they were originally called wards.....)

They now have rooms of 4-6 for juniors rising to single rooms for Grecians...

Hertford in CH is no more!

It has finally ended, and the school is minus a rather strange house

That's how it was when I was there - 3 cubies on each side and then the boudoir then another 3 cubies on each side. Also one room for the house captain and another room for 3. Can't remember there being any other rooms on that floor but I may be wrong.

what I referred to as the "upper" house mistress - was the matron on duty I guess when the actual houseparents are teaching or working... Sorry the word Matron makes me think Hospital (yes I know it was C Hospital....blahhhhhhhhhh) but as in a nursing manner...

so it was the matron on duty, and she was upstairs above teh laundry romm achieved by the middle stairs...

I don't remember anyone helping in 2's apart from Mrs Ferris - she used to assist in the dining room and also send us over to the room next to Fatty M's house for new tunics, blouses, shoes etc. Other than that I only recall "Laurie" and her big dark glasses and the spoon burying

Jude was talking about Horsham.

and (to Darthmaul) referring to cubies, she was talking about the Girls School not Hertford house at Horsham

Sorry to bring up something that's probably ancient history to you lot now only I've only just found this forum.

It seems to me that there is an obvious solution to the problem with fast food deliveries and security that is being overlooked. Why not, when a student wishes to purchase food from the outside world, can they have a rule stating that the purchaser must meet the purchasee at the security office and make the collection there?

No more delivery drivers near boarding houses, no more hungry grecians and a perfect way to burn off some of the calories of that nice juicy Domino's pizza...

Ah , but then there would be lots of people wandering about in the dark, Lee - and would you really want to go all the way from GRW to security, in the cold wet darkness, just for a dominos pizza??? :D
