House photos - anyone got any to post?

I've got one from each year of Leight Hunt somewhere (gotta dig them out, sure they're there somewhere!)
Will aim to scan them and post them up here.

Would be rather nice to build a library of every picture, with names where possible, from every house, for every year as far back as we can go?
If people start posting them up here, email them to me to be hosted, and I'll build a gallery by house/year when we get enough pictures, as a separate page on here.

There must be a complete collection between us all of the last 30 years of house photos???

I think I have LaA house photos from 1950-54 but they're 8,000 miles away. I've asked my daughter to look them out and, if she eventually gets round to it, I'll post them.

I've split out the Thornton photo into it's own topic.Suggest start new topic for each boarding house?

I have several Thornton A house photos (plus names) from the early 60s. Also some of the famous train crash of 1964. Let me know if anyone is interested.

What kind of resolution do you want for the photos? It would have to be quite high to see faces, but I am an amateur at this, so let me know what you can deal with.

Any resolution, the bigger the better.
Email them big, and I'll shrink them down for the preview picture, and then link to the bigger version.
I've scanned at 600dpi, then shrunk down from there....

If anyone would like me to scan photos for them, I'd be happy to oblige, but you'll need to send them to me in suitable packaging with postage paid return envelope if you want the original back.....(otherwise this could expensive!)

Cheers,

J

It should be possible, with some publicity, to get them from 1946, or earlier, onwards.
