Here's some of the photos from our ball this year....how has it changed over the years?
We walked down the Copses from Grecians East and West, met outside the headmaster's house to have photos with the rest of the school. We then headed into the Headmaster's garden for cocktails. About half an hour later we went into Big School for the main ball. After the ball, we had a BBQ, then went to Sharpenhurst for sunrise - magical

Good to see there was actually a sunrise on top of Sharpenhurst...
It has changed a fair old bit from my time... (1999)
We were the first year where the rock concert wasn't on the last night of term (which upset us somewhat....) The Grecians' Ball moved from the Monday night to the Friday with the Rock concert on the previous Saturday...
Our ball was not as well organised as subsequent years (I know Amanda Walsh does an amazing theme each year...).
We all congregated at the Head's house... Chris Collings arriving in a pony and trap and Tom Ryder Smith in an Aston...
Then we had the typical drinks in the head's garden whilst (Jazz with) Harry played... we then had our 'ball' in a marquee outside the theatre...
I remember that most of us had left the ball by the pudding to go to the senior disco (which bizarrely was in the car park of the Sports Centre(!)) - after the disco, we went back, drank some more, and then did the stuff in the quad and the midnight band - we were the last year to do the midnight band I think...

I don't remember that much about ours
I'm sure we didn't have drinks with the head though

Looks like a load of toffs on the piss.
Perhaps it always was.

I've just been trying to visualise this sort of thing at Hertford. Vivid though my imagination might be, I can't imagine it.

I can't remember!!! No cameras for a start. I did end up with a fag burn right on the front of the skirt part of my dress which was a bit of a bummer.

My thoughts too, Maggie. Not quite the Founder's Day dance is it?
