Google every time.

But I still don`t understand about putting "..." and + and things, which is probably why I end up with millions of links that are nothing remotely to do with what I want to Google!

It's the Boolean way of searching. Practically every library catalogue etc uses this.

May be of help:
and requires that both terms be found.
or lets either term be found
not means any record containing the second term will be excluded
( ) means the Boolean operators can be nested using parentheses
+ is equivalent to AND, requiring the term; the + should be placed directly in front of the search term
- is equivalent to NOT and means to exclude the term; the - should be placed directly in front of the search term

and " " indicates exact multiple-word phrases. Without quotation marks, the search engine may assume that the phrase is a list of separate query terms.
