Was it an Isuzu, which looked like a bubble, or a Messerschmitt, which despite its name, was a 3 wheeler with 2 wheels at the front, and the passenger sat behind the driver? A friend at University had one and used to frighten passengers by threatening to drive under lorries.soc wrote:Although I have to draw the line at bubble cars. My uncle had one and it terrified me
Another friend had an MG, 1950's style, and another a Morgan, which had a long bonnet which opened on either side. It was held down by leather straps, but the one on the passenger side occasionally worked loose, so the passenger had to hang out of the window holding the bonnet down. No point in stopping once we'd got it going. Just as well it was open top.
