Is he 'sustainable', Matt ?

The band went to Chichester Cathedral for the Bishops summer garden party around '62. We were all introduced to Dame Anna Neagle who was there with her husband.

Indeed it is. I contacted him before the tour started, but unfortunately he was away on holiday when we passed through Lichfield.

I went on choir tour to Lichfield at the end of August and stayed in the choir school... but he was on holiday although I did meet and have a chat with Tom.
jfdawson wrote:... at Lichfield Cathedral we went for a cup of tea in the refectory before playing; we were served by a young chap who we discovered was not only the son of the Dean of Lichfield (doing holiday work), but is a current CH pupil... just about to start his Grecians, I believe.
And we had tea in the refectory every day and I could have met this guy too! Just didn't know he was at CH.

Somebody was talking about this on Radio 4 this morning. I switched on after he had started so I didn't catch the name but wondered whether it was an OB or not.

Yes, that was me!

If anyone's interested, you can "listen again" on the radio 4 web site by clicking this link. It's about 17 minutes into the programme, and lasts for about 6 minutes.

:backtotopic:

If Mr A was away when he was there and he was away when I was there, does that mean we were there at the same time?
