I see that the staging of the Olympic Games, in London, is now likely, despite previous protestations, to go over Budget.

When the Games were awarded to London, TBA and I were staying in a flat in Menton, S. France (Belonging to my impoverished Turkey Farmer Cousin ! ).

An elderly lady appeared on a neighbouring balcony, shouting and waving her arms in obvious delight. --- "Why so ?" I asked sweet coz.

"She is overjoyed that the Games will NOT be in Paris ----Menton will have no benefit, and would have to pay the taxes to the Government for it" !

I realised then, that there are other points of view-------- how does Gateshead feel ?

OVER BUDGET, NEILL - SURELY NOT !!!!

I might just struggle to watch the womens beach volley-ball.

Apart from that - I have far better things to do with my time AND MY money !!

In our family we have an expression - PUFO - it stands for porcine unidentified flying objects!
