Favourite song

What is your favourite song?
I now this isn't what you might call a 'song' but she is singing! I love it because she is so majestic and the words are so simple and so moving.
It isn't my absolute favourite song.Once you start thinking about it .....

I don't have a favourite song as such I don't think but there are a number of songs that evoke pleasant thoughts and memories.
Off the top of my head anything by Perry Como reminds me of my mother when I was a small child as she would have the wireless on whilst doing the housework and he was her favourite at the time. The Red, Red, Robin reminds me of the football club which is my avatar.
I wouldn't describe either as a 'favourite song' as I cannot imagine playing Perry Como or Red, Red, Robin on my gramophone (should that be i-pod?!) yet they are very dear to me.
If I was to revisit this thread tomorrow I'd probably write something completely different!

First serious dating ? --- long lost love ? ---happy days ?

Simply look at my screen name and split it into the three original words. Although the guitar version is an excellent rendition on YouTube it doesn't have the original vocals

Impossible to pick just one, but, coming close....
Jerusalem, Land Of Hope And Glory. Both good stirring British (English) Anthems.

I believe that Elgar was not all that pleased, that someone had put words to his Trio in "Pomp and Circumstance" which is now, virtually a second National Anthem "Land of Hope and Glory" !
