Nick Clegg joins Farcebook
Now I know for sure I was right to quit Farcebook some years ago.

I never joined, which is why you’re stuck with me here, rather than with the hordes (?) of Hertford OBs on Facebook!

Re: Nick Clegg joins Farcebook
It's funny but perhaps understandable why the Cleggster gets so much flack. After all he was only the junior partner in the coalition. The Guardian cartoonist Steve Bell used to portray him as Cameron's fag at the posh public school. First he was required to shine his master's shoes and make his toast but eventually he had to make the supreme sacrifice and get into bed with him. But I think the real problem was with public expectation. It was the Judas syndrome. Just as Judas gets a worse press in the Bible than the Roman soldiers who crucified Christ, so we expected better of Clegg whereas we knew that the Tories were a bunch of unprincipled scumbags all along. So Clegg ended up scattering the thirty pieces of silver on the ground and hanging from the political tree.
