what can i do with archaeology and egyptology?

what can i do with archaeology and egyptology?

does any one have any ideas on the type of job that i could get with a degree in archaeology and egyptology? im interested in doing a degree in it but i dont know what type of job i could get with it, other than in archaeology.

Archaeology? perhaps something to do with publishing - it shows you can spell. You could perhaps work on the entrance desk at the V & A - my daughter had an MA to do that part-time - but if you want to stay in the distant past you will need a couple of doctorates.

Egyptology - if your Arabic is up to speed and you can read hyroglyphs as easily as English then perhaps something in the travel courier business - but don't let the sun melt you.

More seriously you are going to have to stay in the UK; most other EU countries want a degree in the subject you will be working at. In the UK a degree can be accepted as evidence that you are semi-educated and are capable of learning - you can go into most areas (obviously not specialist areas like medicine ....)
