'Posh School' at Hertford

I must admit that on my (only) visit to Hertford the devil in me caused me to insist on having a photograph of me having a fag on the wall of the headmistress's house!

My daughter is now halfway through Housey as the Old Girls' presentee, and Elizabeth Tucker was nominated as her Governor, which has led to a lovely relationship between her and our family - she is taking Georgia to London this week and they have planned an open top bus tour, a visit to the Tower of London and Evensong at Westminster Abbey. I can't believe I ever found her scary!

And it was absolutely fascinating to visit Fishbourne with her earlier this year and have her undivided attention!

I also find it hard to believe that she was younger than I am now when she was Head ...
