Don't worry about it Momto2. I know what you meant. I think what it is though is that the other forum is very new and as such hasn't really got going. People don't really 'know' each other on there as they perhaps do on here and as a result it hasn't really developed a 'personality' yet and as friendly a feel as this one has.Momto2 wrote:Deleted this post and my one above as I seem to have caused offence - so sorry!

Re: New Official CH Parents Forum
I've been keeping an eye on the new 'official' parents' forum, and it seems so far to serve much the same purpose (and share much of the same content!) as Parents section on this unofficial one, i.e. parents are posting questions or comments on aspects of CH life and other parents are sharing their experiences. All very useful, but the one thing I was hoping for from an official forum was some feedback from the school on the issues raised. To date this seems conspicuously absent.
It's certainly a step in the right direction for the school to provide parents with a much-needed channel for communication with each other, but it would be equally helpful if more opportunity for two-way communication with the school could be offered.

Bit late, I know, but I believe it's "Quis custodet ipsos custodes". Can non-members view content on the Official Forum, or is that only for parents? Wouldn't mind having a nosey-around when I get the time...

No I'm afraid only parents are issued with the log-on and password.

I am a parent of two Old Blues; would that qualify me? I doubt it! Perhaps we should put Lonelymom in as a mole?!

I don't think lonelymum will be drawn into such a subterfuge. You are all very naughty.

But we'd have to keep her a secret (so more a squirrel than a mole?) 'cos they can access us, so they'd know what we were up toFjgrogan wrote:I am a parent of two Old Blues; would that qualify me? I doubt it! Perhaps we should put Lonelymom in as a mole?!

Whoops, silly me! I blame that fact that in midwinter I turn into a 'bear of very little brain'!
