I suspect the list for HOGOF attendees will be long and honourable, the dorm feast's spectacular and the midnight runs dramatic!! PJs are guaranteed to be better and i'm not sure that that peculiar shade of dresing gown blue is even made anymore so lots of lovely glam pjs I suspect!

Who do we have to speak to, what does it cost, can we bbq?

Start the list JR, start the list!!

This may have started as a joke but------ the intendant intendance is increasing !!

I make one condition about night-wear --- despite my advanced years I'm dammed if I am going to appear in a nightshirt and floppy cap !!!

unless it's a night-cap (cue whisky thread).
JR can wear a coat in bed if he wishes - I couldn't care so long as the cap fits.

To get back to Jade's original question

My son is in the second form, and has informed me that everything has to be brought home at the end of each term. Is this true? I don't drive, so getting everything back will be a nightmare.

How did you get on Jade? Did you manage to drag everything home on public transport, or were you able to negotiate some storage space at CH?

I had to beg a friend to drive us. We got really lost both ways LOL. I can understand why the houseparents looked at us in amazement, went he first arrived with so much stuff. Lighter packing is in order for the lent term I think.

How do you get lost? Isn't it signposted from the A24?

My daughter (a girl - obviously- AND a uni student) managed to get her stuff for two weeks into her smaller suitcase (smaller being relative, it would still hold most of MY wardrobe) a weekend bag, computer bag and handbag.

How much "stuff" were you allowed/not expressly forbidden from having, did you take back to Hertford?
