I found the wait got harder the closer to the results day. I was a complete wreck just before. We had decided that dd could open the envelope, but when it came, I just had to open it really carefully and bounce around, and then reseal it really carefully, and pretend all innocence ;-)

We got ours on the 11th Feb. I'd heard in the morning that a friend of a friend who's child had applied had received their acceptance letter. So I booked the afternoon off work so I could pop home and see if DD's had arrived. It had so we met her at school and let her re-open the envelope with her school friends and teacher. They had all been so supportive it seemed only right she shared the moment with them although I'd checked the content first so it was a little staged!

I can't believe that was a year a go. Thinking of you all!

Can anyone tell me what the letter looked like? Was there just one slip of paper in it, or was it a bit fatter with other bits in it? Does other info come later or at the same time if your child gets in?
Big or little?
I am sooooooo nervous. I think DS has forgotten all about it!
We are likely to get our letter after all of you again, as we are in France.
So I shall be scanning this thread for news of your letters! And then spending sleepless nights!

Yes ours was an A4 envelope which was reasonably thick, however don't count on this being a definitive clue as to whether your son has passed or not as we've never seen how thick or not a rejection letter is and indeed they may well choose not to send out all the documents in one go this year. The only way you'll know is to open the envelop.

Don't read to much in to the size of the envelope and good luck!

Ours too came on 11th Feb, I hadnt expected it yet and would have waited until DS came back from school, but through the see through address label bit I could clearly see the words 'pleased to inform you' etc etc!!!! Ofcourse my first thought was 'oh no I m losing my boy, he ll be leaving us'.....followed by pride, excitement etc, a real mix of emotions!!!

Hello All Fellow Limbo Dwellers
Re: 2012 Admissions acceptance/offers.
Has anyone been put out of their misery yet?
DS is nonchalant, I however am digesting myself from the inside with the increasing anxiety each day that Postie passes us by.
I am sat here now at the window waiting, reminiscent of "Ole Yella" or something...lol
So....Any news :?:

Take courage.
As was stated, you will receive the letter by 14th February.
The waiting is nearly over.

My stomach is doing the same so I'm trying hard not to think about it, resisting the urge to keep looking on here and see if anyone has heard! I definitely feel worse when I come on here and join in the nervous waiting instead of doing it on my own! But it's so hard to resist the temptation! The horrid thing for me is, that living in France, I am going to hear AFTER all of you lot, so if I look on here, I'll SEE that you've heard, and know my letter is still in the post! Urgggghhhhh!
