Re: Just checking....shoes
I couldn't get doc martens anywhere, not unless they were shiny patent leather and I really couldn't see my ds being too happy going to school in those, so I resorted to amazon and they arrived within days. I am resorting to the inserts though as he is a half size at the moment.
Re: Just checking....shoes
Yes that's what we do - half a size too big with insoles then take the insoles out after a while. So far we have only needed two pairs of shoes and DS is just starting 3rd year. At his previous schools my son destroyed his school shoes in no time, however the DMs do seem to last ver well indeed.

Re: Just checking....shoes
I have been unable to find DM shoes for 2nd form DS and was informed the min size manufactured is 3
His claim to fame is 2nd smallest pupil currently at CH
Anyway, I appreciate their shoes take a hiding, but if anyone has decent DM's size 3 to dispose off I will willingly compensate you =
A long shot but worth a go
Many thanks

Re: Just checking....shoes
As I understand it they don't HAVE to be DMs, a similar style is acceptable

Re: Just checking....shoes
I found a brand new pair of size 8 DMs in a charity shop last week for £20. DS is currently in a size 7, so I snapped them up to keep for when they're needed... I just hope his feet haven't stopped growing!
