I don't think there are any other people in this photo that really found fame.
Incidently, I met quite a few of this crew at Coleridge B House re-union a couple of years ago.

Quite correct, John. I met him at our house re-union. A great athlete in his school days.

I thought so.
He was at Nottingham University when I was there and gave me a lift up once when he had a new car. It had seat belts, which appeared not to adjust, at least I couldn't work it out, so I spent the whole journey flattened to the seat. It was a long journey as either he was running it in, or was just very cautious.
Never really saw him at university as he was in a different hall.

He seemed a totally different character at our re-union.
I remember him at school as extremely extrovert and sporty.
Two years ago, and time has taken its toll. (Doesn't it always ?). He seemed so quiet and laid back.
I'll have to see if I can find my photo of the re-union and get JT to post it.

Which hall were you in? I spent three very enjoyable years in Ancaster Hall (72-75).

I was in Sherwood from 67 - 69.
In my day, the Halls were single sex.
From what I remember, Florence Boot, Nightingale, Cavendish, Willoughby and Ancaster were women's Halls. I went out with someone from Ancaster and she was very definitely female.
I spent my third year in a flat near Trent Bridge. Apart from going back in 1972 to visit someone doing a masters I haven't been back since.
It may interest you to know that Ian Johnson, who as well as being an exact contemporary at CH, he was Lamb B, was also at my junior school. He is now Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nottingham. The school was in the design stage when I was there.

By 72 Ancaster and one other hall ahd become mixed.
I often wonder if putting me into Ancaster was out of sympathy for me having spent 7 years in a single sex environment. Whatever the reason it was certainly a pleasant change from school.

I did wonder about that but the name does not ring a bell.
I did work with a wonderful man who was at UCH when I was there and went to Nottingham as a Consultant O&G but I think he has died. (he was not a well man)

Ian is still alive, at least he was at our junior school reunion in 2002.
He is on the University of Nottingham web site.
When I met him, for the first time for time in 36 years, he seemed much as I remember him, just a bit older. I believe that after he qualified he went into teaching, but where, I can't remember.
Reunions tend to involve alcohol, which pickles the brain.
