The most famous person in this photo is presumably John Snow, fourth from left, back row.

I had (almost) forgotten what my brother looked like with hair!!! He was definitely thinning on the top before he was 21 - as were all the dark haired members of my mother's family. Now he has a fringe of grey and that's it!

I just about remember JS from school days.

Strangely, I met him at a cricket match some years ago. Facially, he's hardly changed, but the hair colour now differs.

Doesn't it always for us older ones !

Same could be said about me, actually. Though not being a military man, I daresay I wear my grey fringe a bit longer than he probably does.

I well remember sleeping in John Snow’s bed – in 1963 this meant something a lot different from 2010 LOL. While never having met him, he was very much an idol

Katharine, just taking a flyer here, would your brother have been Hills P who was in Prep A in the 1950s?

Yes, he was Prep A 6, I think he started in 1952 at the age of 9. Were you in Prep A too?

I was in Prep B and would have gone in at the same time as your brother. One memory: we in Col B were playing his Thornton house at cricket and your brother was wicket keeper. Our batsman got a thick edge and your brother took a catch and was congratulated on taking his first "snick" catch by the very large presence of Beaky Davies (Harlequins and England) who was umpiring. As you can see I have an elephantine memory for bits of trivia.
