Today, Easter Sunday, my son Alexander was baptised at the Turku International Congregation Service in a chapel at Turku Cathedral, Finland. In attendance were 5 Old Blues, including my mother & sister visiting from the UK. The picture on the wall behind us is of the cathedral - seat of the Finnish Church.

David, Keith & I have tentatively planned a St Matthew's Day gathering on Saturday 25th September 2010 and would love to hear from any other Old Blues living in Finland who would like to join us. PM me!

Just bumping this post - anyone out there?

Less than 2 months til our inaugural event and it would be nice if there were more than just us three (and our families)... anyone in the general region (Sweden, Estonia, St Petersburg!) also welcome...

Does anyone know how to contact Jo King & Marc "Bubble" Laurence? - I heard they were married & living in Helsinki!

Maria - there is a letter in the post inviting you to the 25th anniversary of the Hertford/Horsham merger. It clashes with your St Matthew's Day event!

Just to let you know our St Matthew's Day event is on hold...probably til Spring/Summer 2011.

At least three of the seven of us are unavailable on 25th September, one travelling til after Christmas, so we decided to wait til we can all get together, with families, too.

Here we go again - trying to re-organise the postponed Inaugural meeting of Old Blues in Finland!

So, are you in Finland? do you know any OBs who are? Looking for OBs and ideas for a venue to get together - at the moment I know of 9 OBs, so with families I expect over 20 people...

Should be fun!

We got there in the end!

The inaugural gathering of the Finland Old Blues was a lovely St Matthew's Day lunch at Kuparipaja Restaurant in Fiskars, an artisan village in South Finland.
