Date of sentencing of Webb and Burr

This section was setup in August 2018 in order to move the existing related discussions from other sections into this new section to group them together, and separate from the other CH-related topics.

It doesn't show on today's court list which is why I wonder if the case has finished.
It is possible they are having a day off. It is also possible that the jury has been discharged for so called legal reasons. Or there may have been a verdict yesterday.

The case has reappeared in tomorrow's list so it looks like a non sitting day today.

The BBC report that he has been convicted on seven counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted indecent assault.
The jury is still deliberating on two counts so no comment please.

Does anyone know whether this has happened yet?

Also a thought has just occurred to me. If CH doesn't want to participate in an inquiry, there might be other options. It can't have functioned completely independently, it must have been/be a member of an independent schools association. Likewise surviving staff and the SMT from the 80s/90s must have been members of teaching unions. Maybe those organisations can be involved in either applying pressure or instigating an inquiry.
