Just wondering why so many people feel the need to remain anonymous on a forum such as this - perhaps some of the anon. members could offer their views.
Perhaps current staff, pupils or others closely involved with the school or foundation may, for whatever reason, wish to keep a low profile. Who knows?
Personally, I remain anonymous on the (very few) other forums I've joined, but it somehow seemed a bit silly to do so here.
Any thoughts?

Richard: Your post reminds me of my first year in Prep B. I remember one of the housemasters putting up a notice in the class-block asking for comments on something or other, with the order that any comments must be signed.
One of the older 'wags' had written some puerile comment, and signed it:-
A. Nonny-Mouse, which I thought at the time, was brilliant.

Those who are not entirely complimentary about the School may prefer to remain anonymous although in my view they should have the courage of their convictions. I would exonerate those exposing Masterplan anomalies however from that generalisation.Richard Ruck wrote:Just wondering why so many people feel the need to remain anonymous on a forum such as this - perhaps some of the anon. members could offer their views.

For myself my real name is on the profile and has popped up in the odd post also. I have tried to achieve a balance between being identifiable as a genuine Old Blue but not leaving myself open to unsolicited "spamming" by giving too much public information.

They should indeed have the courage of their convictions. Let's face it, it someone feels that they had a lousy time at C.H., what have they got to gain by remaining anonymous? And why would they care?Mid A 15 wrote: Those who are not entirely complimentary about the School may prefer to remain anonymous although in my view they should have the courage of their convictions. Real name in the profile is fine. I don't think you'll get spammed if you're careful with your real e-mail address.

My real name is also on profile, and anyway I'n v.v.v easy to identify !
Anything I might have had to hide is now covered by " the mists of time" ,and would indeed probably only serve to enhance my already deplorable reputation ...

( on a more serious note, I fully agree with previous posts...)
