Umm - and another thing...
Been trying to work out how/when to say this - even considered not saying it at all, but that doesn't seem quite right. So -
My DS & I after much heart-searching and upset decided that he should leave CH and he starts tomorrow at a local school. As many of you know, his time at CH has been difficult at times and in the end it got too difficult to continue. I wanted to say thank you for the support and friendship that I have had here. I don't suppose I'll be disappearing altogether (at least not for a while) but I suppose it will inevitably tail off. But I didn't want to continue under false pretences...

I'm sure that this is horribly painful at the moment, and that, perhaps, you feel as though you have failed, but it has been my experience that, mostly, things happen for good reasons, and that although you can't see the silver lining yet, I'm sure that it will reveal itself when the time is right.
Oh dear, that sounds like a right load of twaddle, when what I really want to convey is that I empathise and send as many cyberhugs as you care to accept .

Sorry to see him go - although he did come and say goodbye - well sort of - said it was his last ever visit to tuckshop.......
I wish you both all the best!

Oh HM, I am sure this has been a very difficult decision for you both, as was the initial decision was for him to go. As Caroline says though, there will be a silver lining (having him at home for one thing).
Love and all good luck for the future to you both.

Also HM ----- Although many of us have only a tenuous connection with the School --- (64 years since !) we still are, in my opinion, like a group of friends, who chat.
Please don't stop chatting, DS was a Blue --- so you qualify anyway !!!

I hope everything goes well for B, I'm sure it will. I was hoping to catch up with you on Saturday, but as usual the chaos took over.
Enjoy having him close-by again, and let us know how he gets on xx

Sad to hear that, HuMu - but at the end of the day - you and your DS, not the school and not us are the ones you must look out for. Do stay here though!

Re: Umm - and another thing...
I'm sorry to read that DS has left CH but that said it is evident that you are as supportive a parent as any child could be blessed with and that the decision has been taken in his best interests.
I wish you both health, wealth and happiness in the future.

DS looking over my shoulder as I write this - thank you from us both for your lovely messages. You're a great bunch of people. Will update when I'm a bit less emotional!
