Re: Back to Fiona Bruce
Hasn't he been in 'Heroes' recently too? That's three lookalikes now.
I also notice he has changed his signature.
It used to say "I may not be Mr Right but I'll sleep with you until he comes along" Obviously not suitable for a married man.

I still have 'Missa Luba' - fantastic. Though I don't have anything on which to play it!

Re: Back to Fiona Bruce
I still have a record player! I think my brother has my original record. I wonder if there is anyone out there in forum-land who would kindly transfer it from vinyl to disc to both of us? I know there are gadgets that do that available these days, but I hesitate to spend all that money for another piece of technology that I would probably need to get the children to operate for me! Mind you CDs are going out of fashion too, and I refuse to move into the MP3 player generation!

Frances, you can buy the CD from Amazon for £7.99

If... is one of my favourite films, hence the profile pic.
Englishangel - it was time for a change and a fake Fiona quote seemed apt! And what's this about Heroes?

My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We’ll see about that.

Colin McDowell played a baddy in the US drama Heroes.

Anyway, back to Fiona's posterior - I seem to remember Jeremy Clarkson recalling an unexpected encounter in a BBC Television Centre lift, in which he found himself positioned behind FB. "I could eat her arse", was his observation.
This was long before her appearance on "Top Gear", so I can only assume she enjoyed the compliment.

I agree with ..Marty. 'IF' One of the greatest films ever made, and so like the CH of the late 50's early 60's.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, JR for the music. Actually I think the reason I disliked the film was precisely that it was too much basically like CH of the late 50/early 60s - my time - until it just went totally over the top!

I know I'll get criticised, but some of todays and recent yesterday pupils really should watch the film 'IF'. I'm sure many of them would say, 'Oh ! CH could NEVER have been like that !"
OH YES IT WAS, at least until after the departure of C.M.E. Seaman, and to be totally honest, it didn't do me any harm at all. I hated it to start with, but my last year or so were probably a couple of the best years of my life !

Re: Back to Fiona Bruce
Reading the papers in bed this morning, I said to my lovely other half: "Oooo, JR will be thrilled!" He gave me one of those looks and asked "Who is JR?"
- very long story short, my exclamation was triggered by an article about Mslle La Bruce doing Children in Need on Friday!!
Hope you have a lovely Friday night JR!! (& Marty too, I believe!!)

She also recently did a programme on the Love Story of Queen Victoria (or something similar) which I managed to catch on iplayer just before it expired; oddly I couldn't help thinking of JR all the time I was watching it!
