Gentlemen vs Players
Our local PGA event is being lead by a 19 year old amateur, who broke the course record. This got me to thinking about the Gentlemen vs Players matches when I was young. Are there still competitive amateur players in any of the major sports in the UK?

Probably, I imagine, only in Golf, where the Amateurs are still held in high regard.
