Saturday: knapsack = train or suitcases = car?

Post by Ineedacoffee »

Hello forum members and fellow 2nd former parents -
I hope you are all well. I have felt both comforted and informed by this invaluable forum. So thank you to all of you. I have not heard from dd for a week. She was buzzing buzzing and buzzing the last time we spoke. Happy child = Happy Parents. CH must have a very dynamic Latin teacher as my dd echoes what has been mentioned on the forum. Exciting.
Now to my question - should I take the train on Saturday? Is this a break where they have to take EVERYTHING home?
Thank you in advance for any replies. ! X

For half term holidays your DD just has to bring home the things she needs for the week - or two weeks, in this case. It's only at Easter, Christmas and the long summer vacation that you will need to hire a pantechnicon!

Mine just bring home their dirty washing, some shoes, unwanted tuck etc, so you'll be find on the train.

Sorry, what do you mean, unwanted? I didn't know there was such a thing!

That'll be the 'healthy stuff' us parents put in in the vain effort to stop them only eating sweets! :D

You've hit the nail on the head, Pinkhebe! My girls bring back the 'boring' tuck, which is the healthier stuff. They tend to go back with good intentions, and ask some things that don't contain mountains of sugar, but they always leave it till last, and it rarely gets eaten :?

Has any parent ever tried putting only "healthy" stuff in the tuck box?
