Annual Christmas Fete
Hello everyone. I was just wondering whether the Annual Christmas Fete is open to not just families of pupils, but also to friends? We live reasonably close to CH and I thought it would be a good way for some our friends to see our ds's school and to spend some money towards Save the Children at the same time! Have emailed the girl who's details are on the flyer, but not heard yet. So if you ve done one these before, let me know! It says donations required, does this mean books, cd's etc?

We're taking the grandparents, it didn't occur to us that we couldn't!
with regards to donations, we did take a bottle of wine after leave weekend but as the housemaster was still at parents evening we decided it might be better to bring it back home than leave it in our son's bedroom

Aha! when is this event? I cannot go anyway, but I am looking for a good home for 91 Readers Digest Condensed Books, if anyone has any idea how I could 'donate' them. Local charities suddenly lose interest when I say that they would need to collect them, and decide that they have no space or that there is 'no demand' for books etc. I blame the likes of Kindle! There is so much more to enjoying a book than just perusing the words!

Bah! Humbug!
I should think it will be the more the merrier, seeing as there will be huge amounts of parents who cannot possibly go...
