Wonderful Sign

Post by Katharine »

On my way to Llandudno today I passed a sign outside a pub advertising

Best Thai Food this side of Bancock

Could they have been thinking of the Thai capital? Was it an attempt at a subtle way of not getting had up if it is not very good?

.... and how many pub signs do you see, saying, 'GOOD FOOD SERVED HERE' !

I feel like walking in and asking, 'ANY CHANCE OF SOME CR@P FOOD ??'

Saw a nice sign outside a pub in the Midlands once. Filthy ales and disgusting food.

An Adelaide pub proudly displays a banner declaring that they were voted as being the worst source of vegetarian food (can't remember whether it is within the State or the Country).

Slightly different topic, but I love the sign outside the Albion in Chester "No children - family hostile".

It's a very un-PC sort of place - the sign also says "no designer drinks, shots, or poofs and tarts drinks", and there's a sign on the bar that says "This week's guest lager- I can't believe it's not piss". It's a unique place

Sadly, my sparodic days around Chester were years ago !

A Saskatoon restaurant has a billboard featuring a moose. and the the phrase "We believe there is a place for all of God's animals: right next to the mashed potatoes"
