Re: 2013 Admissions Thread
Is anyone staying over in a hotel during the assessment weekend? My DD found a really cheap one for me, certainly cheaper than driving there and back twice. It would be good to meet up with other parents if anyone is going to be about.

Both DSs and myself will be going down the night before so they won't be stressed out about the travelling. You can never tell what will happen early January. Booked early with Premier Inn at £29. Not sure what I'm doing on their actual night at CH. might visit friends.

I have also booked the Premier Inn for that night, so maybe see you there!studiorex wrote:Both DSs and myself will be going down the night before so they won't be stressed out about the travelling. More information about the residential assessment will be sent out by the end of this week.

Good luck to all applicants
Re: 2013 Admissions Thread
My DD also said it the residential was fun and the hot chocolate was the best she's ever had. I have started the countdown.........................
Re: 2013 Admissions Thread
My DD had a whale of a time at the assessment too, she hasn't stopped chattering about it since! No clue as to how she did, but it was certainly an experience she'll never forget. Thank you to everyone who looked after her so beautifully!
Re: 2013 Admissions Thread
Both our boys enjoyed the residential assessment, although they thought the hot chocolate was 'rank'. It's a waiting game now, but all children should feel proud to have got through to this stage - whatever the outcome. What was striking is how different the process was on each house. They split the boys up and they're experience from the outset was marked.

Ummm… not really! The next two weeks are going to drag as much as the past month, I fear. I keep hoping that there will be a miracle and they'll come out early, but I don't think that's going to happen somehow. Waiting is agonising! How's everyone else doing?juicymum wrote:Hello, where is everybody, are we all waiting calmly????
