Click on "Profile" at the top, after you've logged in.

Edit your signature in the box provided, and then click on "yes" next to "Always attach my signature:"

Or you can click no this link, once logged in, to get straight there...
[Links updated/corrected 4th May 2010]
ucp.php?i=profile

You can edit your signature via this link:-
ucp.php?i=profile&mode=signature

05th Dec 04:- I've installed a modification to the forum, that allows you to add your real name, which should (but doesn't currently!) then appear when you post with your user name - more sociable and "real world" (rather than this geeky world of usernames!)

16th Feb 05:- There's a new TEST forum section you can use to test your settings etc. if you want to.....

I have to agree with you Simon, you can't recognise people from their usernames and i don't have a clue sometimes who i'm agreeing with or disagreeing with!

Just a "nudge" to this topic, to flag it up to people again.

If you haven't got your signature filled in, do get it in there.

You can get direct to it via the link here:
profile.php?mode=profil&sub=signature

You'll need to be logged in though, before you click the link...

And another ^^BUMP^^

Still very few people with real name, and/or years in their signature.
Personally I find it interesting to see the comments from different age ranges, and it shows how diverse our community is.....so if you haven't already, then please add your name, house and years as your signature, and tick the box to include it with every post....

Just wondering why so many people feel the need to remain anonymous on a forum such as this - perhaps some of the anon. members could offer their views.

Perhaps current staff, pupils or others closely involved with the school or foundation may, for whatever reason, wish to keep a low profile. Who knows?

Personally, I remain anonymous on the (very few) other forums I've joined, but it somehow seemed a bit silly to do so here.

Any thoughts?

Richard: Your post reminds me of my first year in Prep B. I remember one of the housemasters putting up a notice in the class-block asking for comments on something or other, with the order that any comments must be signed.

One of the older 'wags' had written some puerile comment, and signed it:-

A. Nonny-Mouse, which I thought at the time, was brilliant.

Those who are not entirely complimentary about the School may prefer to remain anonymous although in my view they should have the courage of their convictions. I would exonerate those exposing Masterplan anomalies however from that generalisation.

For myself my real name is on the profile and has popped up in the odd post also. I have tried to achieve a balance between being identifiable as a genuine Old Blue but not leaving myself open to unsolicited "spamming" by giving too much public information.
