Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

is (was) quite a highly regarded cricket writer and author. His most well known work, arguably, is a biography of Gilbert Jessop 'The Croucher.'

I am sure I remember reading of a link with CH. Can anyone enlighten me? Was he an Old Blue or Master perhaps?

Quote from his biography at the Herdman Association.
Dr Arthur Gerald Norcott BRODRIBB was born on 21 May 1915 in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. He graduated in Classics and English from University College, Oxford, where his tutor had been C. S. Lewis (the author of, amongst other works, The Chronicles of Narnia), and became a schoolmaster at St Peter’s School, Seaford and Christ’s Hospital before going on to Repton and Canford.
I don't know how relevent but there is a presentation - from Wikipedia
Brodribb Foundation: blood relations of members of the Brodribb family (established 1927)

The following from The Times in 1917 needs confirmation as I couldn't see the entire article
Educated at Christ's Hospital from 1903 to 1910 he left as Deputy Grecian

The above named was a Junior House Master in Prep, B for one term in the summer of 1941. He had to leave because of a serious illness.
I have a number of his books and read most of the others.
He was a keen cricket statistician and specialised in unusual happenings in first class cricket. Apart from the biography of Gilbert Jessop he wrote one
on Nicholas Wanostrocht. known as Felix, a history of Hastings Cricket ground and an interesting one on six hitting called not surprisingly "Hit for Six"
I met him once at the 50th. Anniversary dinner of The Cricket Society in 1995. He mentioned the reason for his having to leave but I cannot remember
its nature.
