Thanks everyone. Lovely painkillers allow me to be away with the fairies when needed.

First strip bath and shower down this morning, (thanks Jan), and I feels much much better.

I did need two doses of morphine before the ambulance crew could move me and I DO have a very high pain thresh-hold.

A wet laminate floor was to blame.

Well, I saw one of the surgeons today. Got to wait another week for more X-Rays before a final decision on pinning surgery. The fracture is apparently slightly angular.

Right arm the old pint-lifting arm, eh? Unless of course you're ambidextrous. I got matt finish tiles in my bathroom. Harder to clean but less likely to fall on your arse on.

Good News from the top saw-bones at ESH yesterday.

The fracture has straightened and is showing good signs of knitting.

Pinning not now needed. Just possibly a plate after 16 weeks if the joint looks weak.

Good news from a Saw Bones who doesn't saw bones. Whatever in 16 weeks you should still demand that he gives you a plate (of Cully and Lice)
