It might help if I knew what day of the week I was born on, and I can't be @rsed to find out !

I have an excellent little programme called "DateCalc." Give me your d.o.b. and I will tell you what day of the week it was. (Don't fudge it on the year!)

John, it is not 'day of the week' it is the date.

Petard, I have a little wooden box with a dial on top that tells me that, from 1992 to 2031. Prettier than a programme and it holds paperclips.

Assuming that 09-06-1947 is in the English style and is 9 June 1947 the day of the week was a Monday.
If US style and you mean 6 September 1947 then the day of the week was a Saturday.

My little programme covers every year from 1000 to 2050 and also gives Feast Days, Quarter Days and Regnal Years in any year within that timeframe, and will subtract any date from another date giving the answer in either days or years and days. It is very handy and, for example, tells me at the tap of a key that JR has been on this Earth for 21,395 days. It also takes up less space than a wooden box, but I have to admit that it does not hold paper-clips, although, to be quite honest, I have noit lost any sleep over that, as yet
