C.H. Big Band at Sedgwick Park House, Sat. May 20th.
The C.H. Big Band will be taking part in a 'Musical Feast' in the grounds of Sedgwick Park House, near Horsham, on Saturday May 20th.
http://www.sedgwickpark.com/index.php - the place looks really nice!
The event is from 17.30 - 10.30 (gates open 15.30) and the Big Band are on first (shame they're not on mid-evening, really).
The line-up also features the Bernardi Symphony Orchestra, Mid-Sussex Youth String Orchestra, Joni Fuller (winner of the 2005 Junior Eurovision Contest, apparently! ) and Gordon Giltrap.
Take your own food and booze, or buy it on site.
Tickets are £20.00 from the Capitol Theatre (Horsham) Box Office :

The evening is in aid of the National Defibrillator Scheme.

Quite long, but no longer than a day watching cricket. Guess I'll have to pace myself!englishangel wrote:It's going to be a VERY long night.Richard Ruck wrote:

There was a baseball game went on until 2am or so. The two teams were playing back to back i.e. an afternoon game followed by an evening game, the afternoon game went to 12 innings (game usually 9 innings) so the evening game started late, then that went on to 17 innings. Two very evenly matched teams.

No, not all night, but a normal day's play can start at 11.00 and finish at 6.00, so the amount of time spent sitting around with a drink is pretty much the same.englishangel wrote: I know they play cricket under floodlights, but all night?
