This is very true - a visit is LONG overdue. Also, there are now two pubs on the island (plus one on Easdale). Spoilt for choice, I'd say!

I can well believe it John. I've shared quite a few "training" sessions with Mr.Ruck. I have vivid recollections of some particularly arduous training nights down at Le Grenouille in Edinburgh during young Richard's student days. Tired and emotional after a long night it was not uncommon to find him banging his head on the table in time to the driving rhythm of the resident jazz band.

I'm not adverse to a good single malt, but do enjoy the taste of spirit matured over peat.

Uh? The party is for people who know me (and therefore I can stand them getting drunk in my flat) who like to drink whisky to, um, drink whisky. No onther reason.

But I think I see what you mean. There's no birthday, anniversary, new year or anything, it's just a party at which to drink.

.... but please try not to get all lost again, otherwise the party venue will be difficult to locate.
