Friends list and friend of

Post by Ruthie-Baby(old a/c) »

I've just noticed a couple of names come up in the 'Friend of' section which before has been blank.

I got excited and added a few people to my friends (by clicking their red heart) but these show up in a separate list, the 'Friends list'.

But I can't add people from the first list to the second, their red heart is grey and it looks as if clicking it removes them from the lists altogether.

Then people on my 'Friends list' have a grey donut thingy on the member list and hovering on it says they won't see my online times, or something.

Please could someone explain? Thanks.

thanks Mod

In most internet sites like this, one person clicks friend and then the other person has to respond and then they are linked kind of equally, if you see what i mean

here it seems to be they add me as a friend I get no say in it! which isn't a major problem i suppose, no one's likely to try and groom me!!!

do you have any knowledge about the grey donuts on the memberlist which appear next to friends (but only ones i added, not ones that added me!)?

ooh.

maybe Julian can enlighten us. Sounds like another completely pointless feature, especially if someone wants to know surely they can just add you and see...!

thanks Simon.

There is a facility to allow people to "hide" on the forum, but I'm reluctant to enable it.

Surely if you want to 'hide' you just don't login.

This is very exciting! I didn't think I had any friends at all and now I find I have three!!! :D :D :D .

This makes me really happy as way back when the forum started, I noted that I was completely friendless which though not unexpected was definitely debilitating.

OH! THANK-YOU FRIENDS FOR BEING MY FRIENDS. :)

interestingly Mr Plum and I are both each other's friends, that is he appears on both lists. I didn't think that could happen...?

From my own personal menu bar, it appears that not only am I friendless but also heartless. Oh dear.

Yes - I have! I have!. I have found out how to do it, Ruth, and I did it!

Now can I call you "Dear Ruth"?
