Simon's right - we shouldn't experience issues like this really, but every hosting company will have performance issues/failures at some point, so let's hope it doesn't repeat for a bit....

I can't believe that compared to some boards that we are having issues with traffic to be honest...

I don't think it'll be traffic just on this forum - it'll be overall traffic probably on their servers.

We'll keep an eye on it and see if it gets significantly worse.

The database has now exceeded 30Meg, so each query will take longer on mySQL....might have to consider a clearout of old junk at some point.........

That's why I bought a stress doll. whenever the pc does something stupid, I beat the hell out of the doll, Then I try again with the pc

it was slow on Mon and slow on Tue but seems to be back to normal today...

Is it one of the 'blow-up' variety, Scone ?

Friend of ours bought one recently. It was of a Muslim lady. Saved loads of time, coz it blew itself up !

I have said before that Brunei was quite surreal at times. Once when I was getting money out of the hole in the wall, and muttered that it was slow - it answered back!!! A disembodied voice said 'I'm just filling it, won't be long now!' Eerie!!!
