ATTILLA THE STOCKBROKER
Driving along yesterday listening idly to the radio - as one does - I heard a man being interviewd on the subject of Albania under Communist rule - pretty gripping stuff. Anyway, the man being interviewed was called (and addressed by the interviewer as) "Attilla The Stockbroker" and for some reason I think that he is an Old Blue. Is that correct?

Can't confirm it, David, but I had almost similar thoughts myself!

Yes, he is an OB. I always believed his real name to be Basil Baine, but have just checked on Wikipedia and apparently it's John Baine. There is a list of OBs on Wiki.

There was a 16 post thread about him on this section of the Forum with exactly the same name started by cj on March 1, 2006. Do a search on Stockbroker to find itJo wrote:Yes, he is an OB. What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!

Could't find the 2006 thread
I brought one of Attilla's books when we performed before Mark Thomas at CH probably in about 1998/1999. Has he performed there again since? I remember it being extremely funny and at times just crying with laughter.
I've still got his book to this day. Alot of good poems

If it takes 87 muscles to frown, if i frown throughout the day, can that count towards my daily work out?

Re: ATTILLA THE STOCKBROKER
I heard him on Radio 4 a couple of years ago. He was talking about his early life and school years, and although he didn't mention CH by name, it was obvious from his references of uniform, boarding school, Sussex, and marching through London into St. Paul's, that it was CH he was referring to. He said he absolutely hated the place.
