INTERESTING QUSTION:-

If the Staff are monitoring pupils electronic mail, would they then consider opening every letter to a pupil delivered by The Post Office ?

(I feel a good conspiracy theory coming on !)

Are you Old and Blue? Do you have a D in English O level?
Wanted: an article
We have a regular Old Blue writer for the Christ's Hospital Blog, but he is currently on holiday. If anybody has some writing skill and feels able to talk directly to the People of Christ's Hospital, please consider undertaking this article.
Everybody was read the Charge when they left, but how many stick to its precepts? Do you "uphold the good name of Christ's Hospital"? Does Housey feel a part of who you are? Have you forgotton your "great benefits"? Do you feel bound by the Charge? Does the school write to you asking for money, and do you give it to them? Do you feel part of the wider community of Blues, or that you are obliged to interact with people who happen to have gone to the same school as you?

In short, what can this year's leaving Grecians expect from the school once they have left its boundaries? This should be a fascinating opportunity for both the Grecians and the rest of the school to see the school in a new light when it seeks to appropriate a portion of your income. The author can remain completely anonymous with a pseudonym if they choose, or use their real name. To send any articles to me or just ask questions, please go to the Christ's Hospital Blog at http://www.20six.co.uk/housey and click on "Email Yevgeni" near the top of the navigation bar. And of course, if anybody wants to write about anything else, whether to share your wisdom, satisfy your ego or just prove that you were worth more than a "D", send it to me in the same way.
Thank you,
Yevgeni

There was also a musician in residence about 3 or 4 years ago who got sacked after he was caught stealing in one of the boarding houses.

Gosh.
Nice to see the CCTV is working in a positive manner.

A sign of the times, I suppose.

An insomniac teacher with a torch was about as much 'security' as we ever saw, although there was a night watchman (allegedly).

He was actually stupid enough to be caught in the act by a member of staff!
But the CCTV has been something in the refurbished houses that has been a good success; a number of people who have brains small enough to do things like open other people's letters in the centre hall right below a camera, have been caught and dealt with.

Well, we all know where the pub is, we all know when it opens, the only questions to be answered are a) who's going to be there? and b) how will anyone recognise anyone else?

Oh, and who's getting the first round (miserable git landlord permitting....).

and the date?

Suggest recognition is made by wearing black patch over left eye.

This sounds promising.

There's nothing TOO mind-polluting on here, after all....

I'd heard this too via a PM from a Blue.
Good news - I haven't heard anything from the school regarding it, and I hope it isn't just a mistake!?

We all have a responsibility now to not post content that could get it blocked again - whilst maintaining the freedom of speech! i.e. let's not deliberately incite them!
