The CHA website is the website of the Christ's Hospital Association, of which we are all members.Ruthie-Baby wrote:what's the CHA website and why would my name be on it?
sorry to be dense, I've never visited it (knowingly) and it's FFriday morning
It's really quite worrying that people on here are unaware of this. What else can we do to drum it in??

I think that the feeling in the office was that if names were listed it might encourage more people to volunteer / come to the concert, etc.Ruthie-Baby wrote:and now I have had a look, I'm a bit upset to find I have been put on a public list.
Sorry to moan but who are the CHA to say that I don't mind my name appearing on their website in that list?
Actually I do mind and I suggest they ask people first.
As this is being organised by Zoe Mitchell I would suggest that you get in touch with her, let her know your feelings and ask her to remove your name from the list.
And then go and have a pint somewhere.........

Sorry about the restriction to Brass.
I did ask Adrian if we could broaden the range of instruments (and I knew that you wanted to play.....) but this time he was quite adamant. I am due to be talking to him again after half term... I will have another go.
And re names on the website - yes Richard is right. There was a thought that if visitors to the website could see who/how many were signing up to sing they might be more prepared to either join them, or at least come to the concert.

This is really a question for Adrian Bawtree, as he is looking after that side of things.Scone Lover wrote:Why is there a restriction to brass, do we know of a reason why there is this limitation imposed?
However, if I were to hazard a guess I would say that the various arrangements for brass accompaniment are already in existence, as they may well have been used at C.H. Coming up with new arrangements to include woodwind etc. might not be feasible in the allotted time.
I suppose that woodwind instruments could be used to double up on the brass parts, but you probably wouldn't hear them.
