Re: Hertford photos from the sixties
What would have happened to old team photos/ records of Field days etc, when CH moved to Horsham?? I would dearly love to know times of events etc, like 200m races/ relays etc. I have no conception of how we would have compared to other schools as we never had the chance to compete against them in track events.

Copies of all of these photographs are in the Museum at CH Horsham.....If anyone wishes to see them or to have one scanned and sent by e mail attachment, I am sure that you only have to ask. Though the Museum is staffed by part time volunteers so you might have to wait for a response?

Are Hertford team photos stored too, Kerren?

Re: Hertford photos from the sixties
Wowee!
I should dearly love to have the tennis team photo of 1971 - I, mortified beside my slim-and-fit team fellows, bursting out of my white velour ensemble - I was too embarrassed to order a copy at the time, but now - I bet my daughters would be greatly amused too.
(BTW, I despatched each of my children to under 10's tennis lessons!)
So. I ring Horsham and ask for the Museum?
Wowee!

Re: Hertford photos from the sixties
I hope that you would never be subjected to the horror of any photos of me during my last couple of years at CH, JR.
Naturally, as you are a connoisseur of Beauty, your mind would certainly boggle! Years of assimilation of Thames Mud and Barges, Rice Pudding, Syrup Stodge, Apricot Eves, helpings of Saturday Stew and Chocolate Spong-and-Sauce all contributed to my bursting out of the white velour ensemble , and indeed, any variation of school uniform.
I have written before that Dr Jory tried to remedy the situation with medication which made no difference!
None the less, it would be fun to look at that photo now!

Hmm.
Well.... OK then.
I'm always pleased to spread a little mirth.

Do let us know if you are successful - I will have to see if they have the netball ones etc. You would not have been the only one burstng out of team uniforms!
