I have tracked down the transcripts of the Court of Appeal hearings in relation to Webb and Burr.

Unfortunately the forum software will not allow me to attach them in either PDF of Word format.

Webb: Mistake in para 8. Says the victim resigned from the school.
Para 9 says the Dept of Education was involved. No doubt the school will grasp at a government department's collusion in the cover up when defending Webb related civil actions.

It may not be a mistake. They may have been spineless enough to let him resign.

No - the victim "R". Not Webb.
8 In April 2015, the offender had pleaded guilty at the Crown Court to three
offences of indecent assault against R. These were committed in 1983, when R
was of a similar age to the other boys. ..............

............. However it seems that no report was made to the police and that
R resigned from his position at the school. He never worked with children again
after that.

Certainly an error in that transcript as far as I can see.

Very depressing reading.

Re: sentencing, hopefully this judge will have got the knack of it before she next meets Dobbie and Karim.

I would of thought it worrying for a Judge after having all previous sentences given in an on-going trial increased by the AJ.

Possibly getting near a 'slap on the wrist' time.

Suspect that is why she has delayed sentencing for Karim so she will have heard all the evidence and that will help her handout proprtionate sentences for each offender.

I hope if any new offences come to light then that sentence will be served consecutively

Judge will have to decide what sentence would be of all matters had been before court and add whatever the appropriate extra prison is consecutively.

Webb complained about already having served 18 months in 2015 and got nowhere.

I must say I think it's just not on that the transcript of Burr's appeal identifies the victims by both their firstname and surname initials. What kind of anonymity is that, when anyone with an old Blue Book or anyone who was in Maine A at the time could identify them with relative ease?

Surely better to have referred to them as Pupils A, B, C, D and so forth.

Not impressed. In fact I'd say that there's a strong case for removing the link to the Burr transcript altogether. Just put yourself in the victims' position. Or maybe the victims don't give a stuff, who knows?

Sermon over.
