Re: What is CH for these days?
I would expect that the trip to Australia was a sports trip (rugby?) - the school have done a number of international sports trips over the years and my memory is that the children going fundraised for nearly all of it...

Re: Cross-country runs
In the 1990s, there were two versions of the steeplechase (junior and senior)
They both started at the 1st XI cricket pavilion, over Peele Bridge, down Peele Straight and then up the footpath across the field to the church at Itchingfield. Then it was left. The junior course then turned left at ...

Re: Milk
I seem to remember nobody ever used a knife but just wiped the bread on the still-wrapped butter. knives were hard to come by, but I remember doing this too. Peeling the top of the butter pack, then rubbing it on the toast until the coverage was acceptable. I did this in the first share ...

I remember getting milk in cubes (like a wine bladder in a box) that fit into a little fridge. Must have been at least 20L in those, they seemed to just keep on coming. Can't remember there ever being a milk shortage
I think they were called ‘milkpaks’ - they were an endless source of ...

Re: Relationships - Grecian / UF

I also still have a photo of the last morning of term on my deps (88?) when the year above had made a house of cards from toilet doors in the quad along with setting up a couple of classrooms ...
