Re: St Matthews Day Parade

A request: the Wikipedia article on CH would benefit from a St M's day photo - would some kind spectator be willing to take some photos and make them available under a suitably free licence? ...so that a quality photo (or photos) could be incorporated into the Wikipedia article (and frankly any dece...

Lovely long lazy sunny Sunday... with lovely long iced drinks to hand. If one can't be self-indulgent on one's birthday, when can one?

Thanks for the wishes!

Re: Happy Birthday, Vièr Bliu.

Many thanks :D It's been a hectic week of police work, politics, A-level orals, and promoting my new book. Whew! Having polished off some magazine work this morning, I am just getting ready for a relaxing afternoon in the sun with a good book. And looking forward to a weekend of pétanque against ou...

Re: Plates

C. There are a number of livery companies which have rights of presentation, some (but not all) of which have a plate to be worn by their presentees, including Ironmongers' Company, I remember the Ironmongers' plate suddenly appearing (a quick flick through along the bookshelves locates the report ...
