Dear Helen,

Should your want be acute
Try 'Alt 130' and shoot.
'Though somewhat passé
Accents done the same way
Include grâves and çedillas to boot.

(Well ALT and 131 or whatever)

And further, dear Helen, would I add
There was nothing YOU said that was bad.
So let me now own
That 'twas not your moan
That makes "the authorities" mad!

Dear Helen,

There once was a time
When you scolded Great Plum for his line.
Now YOU follow his lead
In paying no heed
To the need to keep it in rhyme.

Is it right that I sense an unease
At this Forum, by those hard to please
Whose task to maintain
The Foundation's good name
Is not easy in times such as these?

Whacking in the dorm! That brings back memories!! Whacking was very commonplace in the Prep where the staff were under the expert tutelage of Prep A housemaster M.H. (Mighty Hitter) Jones and in Prep B, G.W. (Great Whacker) Pink. Visiting staff from the senior school were also encouraged to lay into...

Please ensure that they are equally safe for those on the other side. Discrimination is now considered passé.

Thanks both. Well that's what we thought! Unfortunately, while he is just about grade V on both instruments, they seem suddenly to have pushed the goal posts to grade VI - that he is not!! He is very upset that we are going to stop his lessons tho!

mmmm! I think the face of the forum should represent it's youthful vibrancy! That let's me out - but I will be there and will certainly drop in for a drink if that is a goer!

Well he plays (after a fashion!) the piano and violin - neither very useful in this connection!. But he likes his music and will have to stop lessons when he gets to Housey because of financial constraints - he bashes around on his kid brother's drum kit, and I think he rather fancies having a go on...

CH Forum at Old Blues Day?

Re: Old Blues Day, 17th September
One for you then JT! Why not set up a stall about the CHforum? Members could meet (for a beer?) and non-members could see what they were missing! How about it?
