slater - not hugely liked by some, but in our french set of 6, he was a dude.
Mr Slater really was a legend in that set. Pretty cool to have such a small class as young as the LE! Shame they never carried on allowing German as a first language.
Anyone who was taught by him will surely remember ...

Ah yes, house biscuits. I remember on my squits and 3rd form, the LE got to dish them out once a week, unfairly obviously, then by the time I became an LE, you had to tick your name off and get them from Matron, just when we were ready to abuse the system.
