Re: Initial Assessment
My son said the missing words part was hard and that he struggled with the written section because his stomach was hurting too much, also I think he probably spent too long planning as that's what he usually does! I feel a bit stupid for applying to be honest when I see that the other kids all seem ...

Re: Initial Assessment
There was a parent at the test who I spoke to and I cant remember her name. We sat at the statue and chatted during the test and my son was the one who came out looking poorly twice. You were there with your husband and other son who is already at CH. I know you said that you've been watching this ...

Re: Initial Assessment
Me again. Those of you whose kids have not passed this hurdle, how did they come out of the exam? Did they think it was easy? Or hard? Just out of curiosity that is. I had already decided that if mine came out saying it was easy it was a BAD sign, and sure enough, he did. Heart sank. He is a great ...

Re: Initial Assessment
Jaknat - sorry to hear about your twins! x I know what you mean I feel like I have invested a lot into this process, and have been following this forum for ages too. I'm just glad it's here or I'd be feeling even more miserable right now. It's such a horrid anti-climax after all that waiting! My son ...

Re: Initial Assessment
My son is at level 4a at the moment so not as high as some of the other kids who didn't get through. We are all really disappointed now but hopefully things will work out for the best. If he really wants to go and he works hard at school perhaps he can try again for age 13 entry. Not sure if he will ...

Re: Initial Assessment
It wasn't my son with the blackberry, he only takes his phone out when he's walking to school on his own :)
My son said he found the maths paper easy and the english one quite hard which is strange because english is usually his stronger point. He also became ill during the test but did manage to ...

Re: Initial Assessment
Hi
Good luck to your son! It's not much longer now I guess. Did you happen to notice the huge amount of toilet breaks the children were having? Lots of nervous ones,my son included. I felt a bit sorry for the teachers watching them trudge in and out constantly

Thanks Pinkhebe! We have our fingers crossed for him. I don't know what's worse, the nerves before the test or the waiting now!

Initial Assessment
Hi, I'm new to this forum. My ds took the initial assessment this Saturday just gone but I cant seem to find any info regarding when the results will be through. Another parent told me that it has been done at the beginning of half term for the first time this year and that they weren't sure if the ...
