I was at CH during the late sixties early seventies..I was punished both by housemasters and headmasters. What right did these people have to do that? And did they enjoy doing it?

The only (well-deserved) beating I got was by the housemaster: I don't remember any beatings related to class-related problems, which were usually given drill.
