I was interested to read the claim that Andrew might have been the only Geography Button Grecian in the 20th Century, I can certainly claim to have been another in 1966 and went on to Pembroke, Oxford with an award. I just managed to be taught by John Shippen who sent me a list of about 10 others ...

When I read of the dance being referred to as a "fixture" I recall that they were presented in the school calendar as such rather like cricket matches. The memory brought a wry smile to my face and sweet memories!! Horsham High school and swapping the i for the o etc.

This all gets very intriguing as I'm told that Mary Macnutt (Carol's mother) was at the funeral, which unfortunately I could not go to. Is she an active centenarian?

I think Ron Lorimer was a master at CH for 34 years (1958 to 92) - he had had a year in Madison Wisc. and at the LCC school near Ipswich we heard before coming to CH.
