Hi Robert
I guess I would throw into the mix that older pupils, until they are 18 years old, are legally children
I would personally find it helpful to understand more about what is meant by “a line in the sand”
Thank you

John Ditcham
Greetings all I wonder if anyone knows the current whereabouts and occupation of a John Ditcham who used to work at CH, teaching German and some French in the late 1990s. He lived in Peele although then moved out to an address in Horsham. I believe he later stopped teaching children and went to teac...

Richard Poulton has died
This is sad news and my condolences to the loved ones of anyone who has died including Poulton’s, although I note he has now gone to his grave without ever explaining, or being asked to explain or being held to account for the regime of criminality he oversaw. The school don’t seem to have attempted...

Does anyone have a copy of the judgment in relation to his failed appeal?Bishbashbosh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 12:45 am Been some time since I was on here, even as a lurker.
Dobbie tried to appeal to reduce his sentence from 12 to 10 years. This was refused. Still July 2024.
I don't know anything about any others.

Media reports stated Breakwell’s sentencing was on 14 October. Does anyone know how long he got?

Re: Ben Breakwell convicted of abuse
I am not aware of any relationship between the matron concerned and Breakwell. Husbands first wife did work at the school. I believe she divorced him but not certain exactly when. His second wife was at his appeal, as was I, and it felt like she was there more for 'sympathy' than desire or support....

Thanks for those recollections. A number of pupils with musical talents seemed to retain a connection with the school after leaving. Not sure if he did.
