Rather random, but does anyone remember a fashion shoot during lunch parade in the 90s?
I have a very vivid memory of young women on roller skates being photographed skating around us as we marched into lunch. I assume it was some sort of fashion shoot, but nobody seemed sure. This would have been the early 90s. Does anyone else remember this happening?

Re: Punishment system
I remember drills being a run around the mile on a Sunday morning, but I think they evolved into something more productive. There were green cards too, although they might have been academic rather than behavioural. I am sure that if you were rusticated you had a few weeks of either red or yellow ca...

Re: Puke Fight!
The girls weren’t quite as physical, but I witnessed more than one girl being made to sit with a bin over her head and sing nursery rhymes whilst older girls hit the top of the bin with hockey sticks. There were rumours of a girl being thrown down the stairs in a wardrobe but I hope that was a House...

Re: Ben Breakwell convicted of abuse
Nel thanks for your post, you’re absolutely right about his family being completely innocent and I really feel for his sister in particular.
I will be interested to hear what is said at the sentencing Robert, if you are able to share.

Re: Ben Breakwell convicted of abuse
I believe that was his first wife who stayed on at CH after they separated, I remember reading that on here around the time of his trial.

Re: Ben Breakwell convicted of abuse
Would he have known Husband? They would have been at the school at the same time, but I don’t remember Husband teaching Juniors, which Ben would have been at the time. Ben did have an older sister at the school, who would have been around the same age as the girl that Husband had a ‘consensual affa...

Re: Ben Breakwell convicted of abuse
I expect he’s looking at at least 18 years. Very little information him before he started offending. Does anyone remember him from CH? Yeah, he was a couple years below me (plum’s year, I think). He came to CH as a promising musician - I was head chorister the year he started and Allwood brought hi...

Re: Sentence of Peter Webb referred to Court of Appeal
Can we get back to the matter at hand instead of resurrecting an off-topic dispute from last year? AMP just made some interesting comments. Agreed. I can’t find the transcript though, Google has failed me. Can a link be provided as the documents are in the public domain? https://www.chforum.info/do...

Re: IICSA - Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse
You’re right about that, I am dazed, confused and more that a little disturbed. Do you mean new charges in the criminal court would prevent CH being included in the enquiry as they can’t run concurrently? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick? Off to email IICSA now. bl**dy well done Rob, as alwa...

Re: IICSA - Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse
Well done Robert, as ever, for all you are doing to support the other victims. In terms of our letters/emails to them, how lengthy do they need to be? Do we need to provide a compelling argument as to why CH should be included, or do we assume they already know the facts and simply lend our support?

Re: CH Letter re support for abuse survivors
In-house hierarchies gave kids power over each other - and some abused it, to a greater or lesser extent. I don’t think this was unusual though across all schools - I was bullied and fought regularly with other kids at primary school too - so from what I saw CH wasn’t unusual at all? I was shocked ...
